* Gloucestershire Plant Group field meetings
This year's meetings are mainly aimed at BSBI Threatened Plant Species and are open to all those interested in the flora of the county. The purpose is to search for particular species at historic sites. The localities are not checked beforehand and the species are not always found to be still present. However, participants are likely to learn about the species under investigation. Bring lunch if appropriate and wear suitable clothing and footwear. Please note any late changes will only be notified by e-mail so please ensure that Mark and Clare Kitchen have your contact details. If you do not have e-mail please phone them directly a couple of days beforehand to ensure the meeting will take place.

**Lichen meetings
Please bring a x10 hand lens. All welcome, including beginners. We usually take a picnic lunch and break for about half an hour at 1pm. Beginners often are starting to get boggled by this time, and are under no pressure to remain for the afternoon session which finishes about 4pm. Lichens lose many of their characteristic features in wet weather, so meetings can be called off at very short notice if it is rainy. Phone the leader to check if in doubt.
